Fixed income analyst for an Insurance company

I have an interview with a large insurance company for a fixed-income investment analyst role in the Annuity Asset Origination (AAO) team. This is basically investing in fixed income instruments including corporate, private debt (Infrastructure), sovereign, etc. I had a few questions regarding the role, prospects, experience, etc

  1. Any experience/insight into the investment process? Will it be more about researching funds at asset managers? Will the investing be outsourced to third-party managers?

  2. What do the prospects and exits look like for such a role?

  3. Do you have any tips/advice for the interview?

  4. Any insights on comp trajectory? In the JD, the base was mentioned as 50k

Thank you for the response!!
