flexible working

has anyone come across people having flexible working arrangements working in IBD (m&a or industry groups) as a new analyst/associate due to personal reasons . by flexible workig i mean taking 5 days off every month, working only 4 day a week etc etc.

The most flexible arrangement I have seen is to allow an orthodox jew to take off the sabbath (sundown Friday to sundown Saturday).

I have seen them allow someone in an odd position to take off some time for health reasons. The whole 5 days off a month thing or whatever is just difficult as there is no certainty of schedule. If you just want to be out of the office that much and can work from the road every second you are gone, it might be possible.

You can always ask, I just wouldn't expect positive results.

agreed. i doubt you'll have any luck with that....unless you have a seriously valid reason. although even then...5 days a month seems a little high for IB.
