FMI Capital Advisors?
Currently a junior at a semi-target weighing my offers. Wanted to get some color on FMI (in Raleigh), as I haven't been able to find much about them.
For anyone familiar with the firm, I’d appreciate insight on:
1. What are the typical hours like for analysts and associates?
2. What does total compensation look like at the analyst/associate/VP/Director levels?
3. How strong and consistent is deal flow? Are analysts getting reps on closed transactions?
4. What do exits realistically look like for analysts? Is PE or re-recruiting for FT NYC IB attainable?
5. Would you take FMI over ECM/DCM at a regional bank (think Regions, Citizens, etc.)? How about over ECM/DCM at a bigger European bank (Rabobank, Credit Agricole, etc.)
Thanks!

Ignore title - do not have insight on the firm itself but want to share a funny anecdote that has shaped my image of them
Was on the buyside and we received a CIM for a family-owned company sale FMI was advising on. Probably the most dog shit CIM I’ve seen in my life. Accompanying model and CIM historical capex figures were different by a magnitude of 5-20%. And very non communicative with sponsors generally - looked like a bunch of senior folks with some family-owned company relationships that hired a small ass, incompetent junior level of like 3 associates and 2 analysts
Yikes, was this recent? Website has more junior resources now it seems
