Following up on resume

How do I go about contacting someone from an IB group for JPM? I applied about three weeks ago for the analyst and summer analyst positions and I would like to follow up on it. I can't even find the HR contact info.

Profile: 3.2 Cum/3.5Major; Business Admin - Finance Concentration, Minor: Economics Recent graduate from a non-target in LA looking to break in; Had a s****y gov job for 9 years, went back to school and now looking to switch industries; Workin' on CFA L1 to brings odds of getting an analyst job in my favor. Plus MBA is expensive No job since graduation;

What are my odds? Any other options in an analyst capacity? Should I just give it up? I posted a job search help in the job forum but no help there (title: yet another analyst intern job search advice needed)

Thanks in advance

Almost certain JPM has a 3.5 cumulative cutoff, so you are probably getting auto-rejected by the system. Hard to get around that unless you have a lot of people pulling for you. JPM summer analyst is basically done and the full time analyst spots are nearly done/also highly competitive (would need to have done a SA at another top firm), so truthfully I would focus on other things if it was basically a shot in the dark app.

With your profile I think your best odds towards IB are with a boutique firm, probably in LA. You'd need to network with alumni and be able to articulate your story well. CFA L1 is not going to hugely help your resume, I would 100% focus on getting a job first / networking into some IB or finance function. Do CFA on the side/weekends once you have a job, but it's not a gamechanger at all right now.

editing: just skimmed your other thread, it seems like you have only applied to huge firms: JP, GS, WF, JP middle market. This is like if you decided to only apply to the ivy league for college with decent but not amazing stats... you should be applying for every finance-ish role you see online. Corp dev, startup, research for a smaller fund, smaller IB analyst role would be ideal but don't count on it. Get a job in something and you can try to work your way up to BB firms but GS and JP are probably not likely right now.

JPM spots are just about full. You were likely auto dinged I you've heard nothing back and 3 weeks ago truthfully wasn't early enough of an application. If you're a recent graduate you 99.99% won't even be considered for the SA position. This isn't a MM where you can plead that you'll work for free and consider yourself an "intern" post graduation. There is a pretty hard rule you have to be CURRENTLY pursuing a degree at an accredited university for any SA role. Likely an auto ding for FT as well if you just cold applied through an online portal.
