Following Up with MD of ECM at Small Boutique (Post-behavioural, post thank you email) - Guidance Appreciated

You can check my recent post history about having a "fit" or "behavioral" informal coffee interview with an MD of a small boutique that specializes in ECM.

Recap: I pulled a hail mary by walking into boutiques and personally handing in a thematic industry and equity research report with my own thesis, original thinking and logic. Followed up with one firm and the MD reached out to me asking to meet for 30 - 45 minutes to discuss my objectives and see where they fit within the scope of the firm's needs. The interview went well (in my opinion, but nothing's perfect) and I sent a thank you email the following day (at 7:30 AM) thanking the MD for his time, that I enjoyed our conversation, and that my interest in working at has increased since our convo. I ended it with "and I am looking forward to having the opportunity to speak with you again in the future."

The structure of the conversation went like this: I talked about my "story", and he asked me the standard questions (see other threads). After that he talked about himself and his story, as well as the updates at the firm (since it just got bought out). He specifically mentioned that his team is looking to add another analyst, and that they're growing, and that he didn't come out to speak to me to give me platitudes but that he saw value in my approach and my content and saw a reflection of the skills that an analyst role necessitates. He mentioned that the firm will reach out to me in a couple days to get me in to speak with the rest of the partners.

The question: I've sent him a thank you last Friday morning after our meeting on Thursday morning. Do I follow up on Monday or maybe wait until Tuesday or even Thursday to do a proper follow up on the opportunity? Should I call? Or is email the only choice here?
