Fresh Imperial MBA grad joining top European Investment Bank and feeling clueless....HELP?
Background; I just did a 'triple jump' from a different career (law), different country/continent (Africa) and different role (Lead counsel) into a 6 month off-cycle Investment Banking program that starts in a few weeks.
Concerns: I really want to make the best impression possible and hit the ground running. How do I best go about this? what was it like for you when you first started out? Any advice will be appreciated.
Keep calm, IB is not rocket science and many other people started knowing nothing and succeeded.
Make sure you approach the job with the right attitude, show people around you that you are reliable, attentive to details, passionate and curious to learn.
The rest will follow, if you got the job then I am sure you already have the basic technical knowledge but make sure to refresh it before starting.
