Freshman Internships for NYU Stern Undergrad

I just found out I got into NYU Stern undergrad yesterday after taking a gap year. I'm probably going to do stats/finance and my concentration will be real estate and asset pricing (idk if you can do two yet, but I doubt it). I start next September, and I'm looking to get an internship (ideally sales and trading) at either an investment bank or a small trading firm. I have some really general questions: how do the hours work while in school? how do I go about getting one and when in the year? how likely is it that a freshman gets an internship? how would it pay? can I get it extended thru the summer if possible?

A couple of things I have going for me include: I've been actively trading for 1.5 years and I'm a profitable ES trader, I understand the mechanics of a variety of markets (stocks, futures, options, etns, etfs, mbs, forex) but of course futures is the only one I spend 6 hours a day watching. I was also ranked 6 or 7 in powerlifting in Canada, and I've heard there is quite the bro mentality so maybe that'll help? Other than that I have a decent life story, mostly mature, and my stats are the same as anyone else who got into Stern. Also, as an intern would I be able to continue trading if working in an IB? would I need to go to a boutique to be legally allowed to trade my accounts too?
