Freshman Summer Internship- Logistics?
Hi, I'm a freshman at a semi-target and definitely looking to go IB. I've had some struggles finding an internship for this summer despite having a 3.8+ GPA and founding a finance club on campus. I'm aware that freshman summer isn't of the utmost importance, but I want to do the best I can this summer. I've reached out to banks (not expecting to land an internship as a freshman) and also I've applied for hundreds of corporate finance internships with Fortune 500 companies and have nothing solidified for this summer. I'm slightly worried, but my dad's friend owns a Logistics firm with about 100 employees and I was wondering if that would be considered decent for freshman summer or looked at as irrelevant experience by banks when looking at my resume in the future. Thanks for any input.
