FT Partners - Fulltime Recruitment
Hey all, making a thread for those applying to FTP (full time). Seems relatively early against many other shops - where do you guys stand in the process? Currently have a first round phone interview coming up myself, would be great to get a better picture. Also would be helpful for anyone who has experience with the firm's process to talk about the timeline.
Cheers
Heard the majority of analyst got the promotion to associate so would most likely be very open to lateral analyst hirings.
For the more senior folk, some MDs recently left to pursue their own business or take on an opportunity that was gnawing at them for quite some time. Not a bad thing at all - people have to do what is right for them as well, don't you think? So Senior level positions are open as well FROM WHAT I HAVE HEARD. CEO will want to talk to you though most likely so probably reach out to him or some other senior person to get the ball rolling. Be prepared though as FT Partners looks for the greatest and wisest of any role...not a pushover firm by any means.
How do you know so much about FTP internally if you actually work in PE? FT troll......
I didn't know that if you are in PE then you can't previously be in IB at a firm.
Well said and good zinger back at this prospect, my friend. As a heads up for all interested in IBD at FTP, please know that FTP is requiring all to work from home this week so please reach out to the analysts and associates this week to hop on a phone call to discuss future aspirations of working at the firm and what next steps are in your candidacy. What I am trying to say is that everyone should have a little more time working from home to talk to you and guide you along the right path towards prosperity and happiness at this firm.
Are they still recruiting / would they recruit this late?
They're all working from home this week so they have more time to talk. Why don't you hit up an analyst and see what's going on? I know a few who are chilling at home and taking their time even though they're on live deals because they know they have an excuse to be less productive since they are working from home.
So I actually work at FT and I can tell you guys that the above posts are from a troll who was pushed out of the firm cuz he was an annoying bottom-bucket analyst. Give it up dude, we know who you are and you're not a VP, idk what your problem is but it's time to just move on.
