FT Recruiting Timeline (SA 2025)

SA 2025 didn't go too hot so thinking about re-recruiting for FT in 2026. Would love to hear if anyone has advice for navigating the process, especially

1) When do firms open applications and interviews? Is it mostly during the summer or at the fall semester?

2) How does behavioral and technical interviews differ between SA and FT recruiting?

3) Are there any banks/PE shops that tend to hire a lot of FT analysts? I know there are some PE firms that take full time analysts but not interns

4) Is networking valued as much for FT as for summer recruiting? If so, when should I start networking?

5) Any advice for junior year preparations to secure a return offer and maximize chances to succeed in FT interviews?

Thanks everyone
