Fucked up another IB online assessment. I just want to cry at this point, man

Logical reasoning test for a investment banking SA that I've been practicing for for a week... just fucked it up royally.

This test required you to identify the rule that determined which of the presented operators provided you with the correct output. This was a measure of your logical reasoning ability – the ability to draw logical conclusions from the complex information presented. Your performance on the test has been compared with a large group of applicants for similar roles.

It is as easy for you as for other participants to handle the tasks in this test successfully.

Your completion of the test was quite fast but inaccurate, this means that you completed approximately as many tasks as most other participants but, compared to other participants, you made more mistakes.

This is it. I can't believe I really have to face that fact that I'm just dumb. 4.0 GPA matters nothing, it seems :/ It's so frustrating how many opportunities I lost for these tests and HVs. Should I just give up? Not that there are any opportunities left anyways.

I feel like a lot of these tests can be quite irrelevant at points. I have been rejected in past years at the test stages, so much so that I decided to take the SHL test online and see how I scored etc. I scored in 96th percentile for all 3 categories, and 90th percentile for graduates. Despite this, I often didn't get through to interview stages.
That being said, I have spoken to some people that went to target schools and they didn't seem to experience this problem as much. I'm considering its likely that these tests are often not considered to be very important, and unless you score excellently, its more important to find another aspect to pull you through that stage - networking/target school/etc.
Correct me if I'm wrong, would like to see if anyone actually knows instead of my simple speculation

No I think they're quite important especially here in Europe. I am from a target and networking is almost completely useless in the UK. I think this is a main sorting/elimination criteria.

Because I’m always deceived by my practice scores which are almost perfect. I don’t have friends that close, either. Normally I come off as a nerdy person around my acquaintances so asking them to do these tests would be awkward asfuck

I just pay my really smart friend to take the tests for me, works every time

Keep your head up dude. Let all these rejections be a reason why ur story is even better, and why when u actually hit the desk at the bank, you’ll work harder than everyone else cause u know what it took to get a stop. Let this make you stronger and more able to take the HITS

Know any good sources / websites that can do these tests for a fee? It is crazy that I need to know permutations and combinations for a banking role. I have interned in IB and never had to use any of that.
