Full time corporate to IBD Internship
Guys I need an opinion. I have been working as an analyst in corp. dev. for a FTSE100 corporate for slightly less than a year. I have a full time contract there, however just received an offer to join a small IB boutique. The IB position would be to join as an intern with a 6 months contract and with low chances of getting hired afterwards.
Is it worth it to leave a full time job for an internship just to get a first experience in IB??
Cheers.
Deffo not worth it man- Corp dev is a fantastic role and one of the reasons some of us go through the hellish IB hours to get to. The low chance of a FT offer also makes it a massive risk for not much payoff- unless you want to go into PE etc. If not, have a good time with the corp dev gig and enjoy life!
