I don't know what you guys are stressing about since according to a Glassdoor Senior Data Analyst, IB is ranked #1 as the least competitive job paying over $100,000/year. Obviously just skip the analyst position entirely and apply directly for an associate spot.
Other notable examples include radiologist (for those not aware, known within medicine to be one of the most competitive residencies to get into) and and more generally, physician (its well understood that getting into a US med school is ezpz).
