Going back to IB?

Currently in a process for a boutique IB associate role (currently in corp strategy, entered the process for experience etc) which would be a substantial pay increase (multiple x's) but of course significantly increase my workload. Would you consider leaving a cushy (but notably weaker paying) corp dev gig for IB or just wait it out for a better paying corp strat role? Left my BB IB role to free up time in evenings/weekends but the pay cut did of course hurt - would this make you essentially an IB lifer? Tough decision.
