Goldman Internship Applications Blow Up.
Looks like the Goldman 13 did a good job of bringing in even more applications. As they say, all press is good press lol.
Applications up 16% YoY, 1.5% got offers. Interesting.
Quite a few of those applications are people who have no chance of being accepted like some 30 year old indian writing "sir how do I get the goldman sachs internship sir" under investment banking youtube videos
I would rather work a flexible hybrid wfh schedule at Mizuho than 5 days in person at GS dealing with the most neorotic hardest of the hardos there.
Haha, well I wouldn't go as low as Mizuho but I agree. Lots of chill banks/groups out there that still kill it on the league tables.
I'm assuming this is for SA 2022 as their process for 2023 is still ongoing. I know for a fact that the college class of 2023 is a larger than 2022, but I think this application increase is still disproportionately large. Don't think it matters though unless a huge number are from targets.
