Good Advice

So I asked this same question a few weeks back and didn't get any responses. I'll keep it short this time.

What is the best way to reach out to network for FT analyst positions?

It's not as easy as doing it for SA because you can't ask for info on the industry and stupid questions like "what's it like being in banking".

Any advice on the initial outreach email would be great.

It's similar, except that you position yourself from the perspective of your internship this summer and why that leads you to contacting your network. For example, if you're in a Capital Markets Group but want IBD, then you'd structure it along the lines of how CM is a good experience in finance, but you want to exposed to many different types of deal processes, ranging from debt capital raise, equity capital raise, and M&A, as opposed to just doing HY debt day in and day out.

The actual conversations themselves are very similar as well; you talk about their background, their bank, their groups, and maybe segway into a discussion about their analyst programs.
