Got a full time role but don't really know how to model

So, I landed my full time offer at a solid firm in IB M&A. I had a boutique IB internship but the extent of my modeling exposure was just updating assumptions and fixing minor stuff. I've taken a class in modeling but we were more or less walked through how to do everything and I could not make a model myself without having someone helping me pretty much the whole way through. I have a decently strong grasp on financial statements and accounting (which I needed to land the gig), but how much modelling should I study/learn before hitting the desk next summer?
