I'm a sophomore that interviewed at a boutique IB. Had the interview a week ago and the interviewer emailed me to call him, but didn't pick up. Does this usually mean I got the position or not? Thanks for your help.

Most probably means nothing. He was likely busy. Has happened to me numerous times with informational interviews.

did you get this through cold-calling? any technicals?
Speaking with alumni/emailing. Not too many technicals, but more common sense type questions.
do you know how to model? or, are you hoping to learn this on the job?
Did he/she not leave a message? And was your itneview in person or through the phone? It could mean anything from saying you got it, to asking you to schedule another phone interview (if your first one was a phone one too), or even the courtesy of calling you to tell you that you didn't vs. a rejection meail. I have experienced all of those. So I wouldnt think too much about it cuz it could be anything.
He told me to call him back and I definitely went through all the rounds in person. I heard from another person with that same interviewer that hasn't heard back yet.
