@JeffSkilling: I'm concerned that the background check company will think I lied about my GPA or something. I keep reading on old threads that they don't look at your transcript, just your cumulative GPA. Just concerned they might misinterpret is all.

Yep, no problem. If you didn't lie, the system won't say you lied. Just make sure you fill in the right number (most recent) in your background check.
The real question is how must you have done in one semester to let your cumulative crash .3. Fuck, that's unreal.

As long as your GPA was correct at the time you submitted it, and you are graduating on time, you are completely fine.
