got the internship, now what can i do to be head and shoulders above the rest when i get there

Like I said in the title, i got an internship for the summer. Its a 10 week program with 5 weeks in S&T and 5 weeks in Investment banking(they were vague as to what division or industry). So my question is what should i read/study/make sure i know before i start in June(other than the generic "know modeling and be current on market events")?

Any advice helps, thanks

Make yourself as familiar as possible with excel and powerpoint. That is really all you need to do in order to be prepared for a summer. More importantly, once you begin working do everything you can to catch your mistakes before passing work on to someone senior, even if it's an analyst. I did this from the first day during my internship and I was told that it was what set me apart from the others from the beginning. You're still going to make mistakes, but if you catch the blatant ones before handing it off it looks a lot better.
