GP Bullhound (London)

Any insights on GP Bullhound London and other EU teams? I'm currently interviewing and was told by HR that, although the base salary would be a pay cut, the bonus would range from 50-100% (Analyst 1), effectively offsetting the reduction. Can anyone validate these claims?

Are you talking about there investments or advisory (IB) business? I had a friend who worked in the IB business and this definitely wasn't the case. They struggled to win pitches, pay was well below market, and the bonus structure was built for partners to take most of the profits. Maybe it’s changed—but I doubt it. Also, the people are weak, and exit opportunities are nearly nonexistent—just check LinkedIn. Not worth the move if you're already at a competitor.

The PE business might be a different story, I am not sure - it is a small team with c.3 people. This was in London btw
