GPA and Investment Banking

Hey everyone,

I am currently a freshman in college and with finals coming to an end I know I got a couple of B+’s on my transcript. I have aspirations of going into investment banking and would prefer to stay in the middle market and local for the most part. Do you typically see GPA as being a huge factor or do you think my extra curricular will weigh in more. I am currently in ROTC, I’ve done modeling classes(WSP), I’m in several clubs, and in the national guard while also working a job.

Thank you,

I have a mid 3’s GPA and have two offers on the table. GPA definitely matters and try your hardest to keep it up but networking and just interview prep is such a huge part
