Graduating off cycle - should I delay for a summer internship?

Hi, I'm in a Canadian semi-target with a (5year) co-op program. I'm set to complete an internship in the Fall and finally graduate next August. I recently broke into a corp dev co-op (had a great time) but couldn't manage to land an off cycle IB internship for the Fall. Is it worth it for me to delay graduating next summer to do an IB internship (graduating December)? Do banks start people at the beginning of the year or is there no exception to starting before your analyst class?
