GS Securities VS MS Securities -- Sophomore decision
Hi guys, so I have offers from GS Securities and MS Securities and am extremely torn between which of the two to pick. I am currently a sophomore and want to go into Investment Banking/GCM as a junior. Any help anyone could provide would be MUCH appreciated.
Congratulations. Since these a both solid firms I would go with the bank where the fit is better and you like the people more. I would go with Morgan Stanley for no particular reason besides what I've read about them. So take that last part with a grain of salt.
what have you read?
GS!
reasoning?
if you get a securities return offer from the firm, can you leverage it into an IBD offer within the firm or that's the best you can get alr?
I would go where you are most interested in going knowing that at either firm you may not be able to do mobility. GS has a notoriously sticky mobility process - can't speak to MS' mobility. You can always look to intern elsewhere for junior year tho if you aren't able to get the mobility jump to IBD.
GS.
no matter what people say. like for like position wise - GS can easily get you into MS. its harder the other way around.
monkey shit away fuckers.
