Hi folks.
I am starting my summer internship in IBD in London soon and just wanted to get a better view on rotations. GS have two teams: advisory and financing. Always thought we were rotating between the two groups but seems like i will only be doing the financing one. Does this happen often and is it normal that every intern doesnt have the same opportunity to rotate between both teams?

Sounds normal. In the US, you apply for either financing or classic and then get placed into a group there. They run separate recruiting and interview processes so would assume it’s normal that you don’t overlap
