GS TMT/FIG, MS M&A placement
I saw the BX list on WSO a while back and was wondering if anyone knows where the current second years at GS/MS are going?

Looks like they do well. No group places everyone into megafunds, because frankly, not everyone wants to go to a megafund. I've seen lots of girls in particular decide they want to do something else after their two years. Moreover, being in a top group is no guarantee that you actually know your shit.
All are good firms. I like the FIG to TMT move.
You're correct about not everyone placing into MF, it's a good point. Ironically (to your other point) though, the person who moved from GS FIG to WP TMT was a girl.

Heard the analysts who went to FFL and Flexpoint Ford were both from target schools and as good opps as anyone in the group but had zero interest in megafunds so they specifically targeted MMs. Seems like analysts in TMT/FIG can get whatever they're focused on.
I neglected to list the HF placement out of the group, only wrote PE. Can confirm that one left this year (weeks ago) for Glenview. Would have to look a bit more into it to be able to report with real information on where others have gone.
last year's placement into MF had the most BB representation from GS TMT, MS M&A, CITI TMT, JPM M&A and GS FIG. Just based on stats from the top 4 MFs in North America
