I've worked across them on both sides of the pond.  US Gugg team for Digital Infra >>> UK team.  The former is led by an ex-Citi guy, very good at what he does and a nice guy to boot (might be the only Citi alum I've heard described in that way).  UK MD has, as far as I can tell, won mandates by over-promising.  The team below him seems nice enough though and hey, I'm sure they pay above market comp like they do in the US anyway.
