Guide Battle!
ok so WSO's fit + technical totals to $40, and M&I's 200 questions totals to $47.
Which one is better? Ideally I don't want to drop 87 bucks on both. Those who have both, which is better?

You should be slapped for the title of this post.

I initially thought you wrote guido battle and was looking forward to a possibly semi-funny youtube link.

Can i get some guide advice?
I'll vote for my guide, which I will be releasing in less than a week - it will be just above 30 questions - the most common behavioral/fit and technical questions with thorough explanations. Sorry for the cheap plug, but with the comical post, I just couldn't help but get in on it.
Regarding your initial question, I have heard good things about both - it is really a matter of personal preference - I don't think either one will give you bad advice/question answers.

I think they are both very similar...so it's not easy to decide. It's been my experience that all of the guides I have seen are extremely similar, nearly identical as far as information they cover. Vault is probably the best, which you can find for free if you know where to look or have access through your school, and the two you mentioned above are excellent alternatives and are right on par with each other. The only difference I can really see is the way the questions are worded and explained...but both give you what you are looking for.
In my opinion it is a toss-up. Sorry for the indecision.
Regards
The WSO Behavioral Guide is great. The WSO Technical Guide is also good, but is better suited for a review of basic concepts and will definitely help you nail your Summer Analyst interviews.
However, the M&I guide is hands-down better for full-time interviews. For example, the WSO guides don't even mention levered/unlevered EV and that was a hot trick question throughout this FT recruiting season.
Bottom-line: Get both. Your career is worth the money.
wow i read guido battle as well
I bought both and they are great. I would purchase both if you have the money. If you have any specific questions, PM me.
I'd go with the WSO guides as they cover a broader range of questions both technical and behavioral, whereas M&I is more focused on investment banking in particular. Also, the WSO guides give you a sample answer as to what you would literally say for each question, which helps come up with your own answers.
But if you have the money then get both. They're both solid guides. Make sure you have enough time to actually go through them all and practice out loud (they are both quite extensive).
