junior here didnt get the BB that i wanted so I'm thinking of doing habitat for humanity. its something im passionate about. Will it put me at a big disadvantage come FT recruiting? I really don't wanna spend a 100 hrs working at an unknown boutique

Why not work for the boutique (if it's unknown, shouldn't be 100 hrs/week) and volunteer for habitat for humanity on the side?

if you do habitat for humanity it is something you do to help other people, not yourself. That is why it is called "charity". It is not going to help your career, but the experience might be more valuable both to the people you help and to yourself then some line on a resume.
