Hamptons

Everyone in this city seems to always be in the Hamptons and I'd like to go. What do you think about the Hamptons in general and the different towns (East, South, Montauk, etc)? Do many analysts go and is there a way to do it affordably?

 

Hamptons suck (people not beaches), full of pathetic banker types who only go there so that they can tell other people at work they spend time in the hamptons. Most of the kiss ass shmoozer types that you have to deal with on a regular basis at work will likely be there acting like everyone is their best friend, when in reality they probably only met one time at a work function and don't have any real friends.

 

It's "the fashionable resort", much like Vail and Aspen. I go to school in FL and I'll tell you SoBe>>>>>>>>Hamptons. Costs are lower for south beach a great weekend can be had for $400 and flying is still quicker than driving out to the Hamptons. Keyboardcat is right when he says that the people suck, the point of a vacation is to get away not essentially travelling with the office.

 

Stay out of West (worst) Hampton.
