Handicapping IB Odds - Canadian Student

Hi WSO Chimps, I am starting my Junior year in Uni and I wanted to get your input on how I can increase my chances of landing an IB Internship.

Background Info:

  • I am from a Canadian Uni (UofT)
  • I am targeting Big 5 Canadian Banks and Toronto Offices of BB
  • I have a 3.6+ GPA
  • I have a total of 8 months exp. working at a Big 4 in audit, and some exp. in Transaction Services (ie. FDD)
  • My degree is a BBA with an Accounting Specialist, and Finance Minor
  • No noteworthy ECs

I understand IB is dog eat dog when it comes to recruiting; is there any advice you would give to me given my particular background as to how I can increase my chances of landing a IB SA position.

All of your help is appreciated.
