I am an MBA student and I as looking to stay where I was for the next one to two years at a REPE firm in the EU, but my offer got rescinded a couple weeks ago and now I will be returning home to the US. I , of course, missed all the recruiting that took place last fall and now am looking to see if there is any possibilities for off-cycle. IB is probably the most structured, and with Covid-19, I don't anticipate any hiring, but would like to hear if anyone had any experience with this?
I've networked some with VPs at EBs and some BBs over the last month or so and not one anticipate any hiring over the next year, and in the case of Eastdil for RE, their hiring won't start until Jan 2021 now.
Is there anything I can do to land on the sellside? I'd prefer RE/Lodging/Gaming if possible, and that's been the focus of my networking.
