Have a job in Balance Sheet Bank DCM, worth taking the job opportunity at BNP UK M&A?
Title pretty much says it all, I'm more interested in M&A but life has led me to land a job at a Balance Sheet Bank DCM in London. Been there for slightly over a year. But an opportunity has popped up to join BNP UK M&A. Worth taking a shot? Or should I wait for something better to come along?
First of all, congratulations on the offer. Take it, unless you’re still waiting to hear back from other processes. Always make the decision that enables you to do what you want to be doing, and good things will come.
You can keep recruiting and moving around or maybe you’ll like that role and team and it will make sense longer term. However, if you want to be doing M&A or anything buy side, then your DCM role has served its purpose and gotten you a nice balance sheet bank on your resume - time to take the next step.
