I think its because these ppl already have FT offers from the place where they interned so they get to fast track the whole interview process at other banks. Or am I wrong?

i didn't do an internship this summer, and i just got an e-mail about an interview; they asked if i could come down before my classes start. i guess if you can submit your resume early enough, you might get an interview.

I interviewed a week before going back to school at BB firms where I did not intern. They said this was pretty early in the process for FT.......and my offers were given just the night before classes started (which means I went straight to the bars and didn't make it to any of my classes for a couple of days ). This is pretty prime time then for FT interviewing, esp if you want to switch firms.....work hard now, trust me, nothing feels better than to start senior year with offers.

Anyone mind disclosing which firms these were that allowed early interviews? A few of the BBs I contacted (and I told them I was already a summer analyst) said they didn't have an early interview process...and Goldman said they did, but it was only for people that turned them down for another bank.
