What are the chances of you getting and interview or offer (if you do well in interviews) if the head of a group sends your resume forward to recruitment team advocating for you?

Chances of you getting an interview is high but not guaranteed. I had the “Head of the Investment Bank” at a Top BB forward my resume to “Any group I would like.” I then got a hold of the Head of TMT individual. Had a good call with him and he put me in contact with the staffer/recruitment team. I spoke with them but nothing ever became available.
No matter who you know, if you’re working in corporate, systems are in place and even the highest individuals have to abide by these rules. If nothing is available then nothing is available.
If a position is available and they haven’t began recruiting then you would almost definitely get an interview. I will say there seems to be an added expectation if you are referred by someone way up. A good friend of mine’s father was the CEO of a BB and he was talking to me about his interviews and they sounded quite a bit harder than normal from this firm.
