Unsure what level you're referring to, but in general, it's very simple - work for a top bank, in a top team, be top bucket and stand out as much as you can (i.e. languages, deal creds etc.). At the end of the day you are a fee to them and nothing more; to the extent you can prove you are going to get them their fee... they'll like you lol.
