"Hearing Back" from FT IB process?
Hopefully some of the more experienced monkeys can shed some light to this situation that I'm facing.
It has been close to two weeks since I had a last-minute final round interview with an iBank for full-time analyst position(s). After my interview, I was told that I should hear back early the following week. Then they bumped the date to earlier this week. At this stage, should I just assume that I didn't make the cut? Some things I have considered is that... (1) the HR person had kept me updated last week about the delay, (2) HR mentioned that they need to consider "headcount", (3) since this was not a formal process maybe they have a longer period to make decisions.
What are your thoughts?
you aren't their first choice and im not sure how big the bank is but its a little odd to go through the hr people
You were waitlisted. Depending on where you are on the list, you might get in if a sufficient number of people don't take the offer from the ibank.
What do you mean "go through hr"?
I want to clarify that HR was referring to the headcount of SAs who accepted offers, which was articulated to me during the final interview process.
If I am indeed waitlisted, I suppose I have to hope for the best.
Bump~ anyone else have any thoughts?
