HELP! Background check

Hi all,

Incredibly anxious about my current background check with HireRight.

I have an unpaid internship with a big bank that was off the books since it was through a financial advisor and HireRight is taking 3 weeks now. I called/email them a lot and they logged all of it, which probably makes me look suspicious or stupid or probably both.

One agent says that my info is verified, other one says it is not, my bank is not responding to me, but they respond about compliance forms they sent me.

i am so nervous, no one is communicating, losing my sleep over this.

How long do these typically take? 3 weeks is just crazy for me.

can anyone just shed light what is normal, should I be worried?

sorry for the obscure typing, I spent all night up and cannot sleep because do not have a peace of mind. Worked too hard to lose an offer

This happened to me as well, and has happened to many other people too. Honestly my bank and another previous internship didn’t care that 1 of my experiences wasn’t verified. I wouldn’t worry about this at all, worst case scenario hr would contact you and you would provide contact info or supporting docs.

After getting multiple HR emails that I'm cleared despite having abandoned HireRight midway lomg ago (too lazy to upload high school documents), I guess it doesn't matter (this is a London internship though, not US)
