Help, need brutally honest answer
I am in desperate need of help, so please answer truthfully.
I have taken calculus multiple times and when I say multiple I mean more than any student should have to, it's depressing.I get A's in other classes with the exception of my first year where I failed a bunch because of a mix family issues and an illness. Assuming I am able to keep up the A's for the rest of my studies, will the nightmare of a beginning and the calculus problem - which has continued beyond my first-year struggle, prevent me from working in investment banking? If you were to hire me, what would you think of this? How should I go about it so it won't be as big of an anchor come internship time? The chance of getting hired ranges from 1-3% so even the smallest set back could ruin someone's chances.
I don’t think individual classes matter that much man, you’re overthinking it. They’re just gonna look at GPA as a whole. I have heard that getting bad grades in something like accounting can be detrimental to your application, but don’t worry about calculus.
i've never had an interviewer look into/at my transcript (even when they had it printed out right in front of them), only my resume. perhaps others do experience this from time to time, but I doubt many of your potential future interviews will have them asking about it
