Help needed: Can I Quit?

I started off at a MM bank with fantastic culture and (unfortunately) decided to lateral to a mid BB. I have not been able to handle the hours at all, have been hospitalized, sick etc

My performance has dipped significantly as well and I am burnt ojt. I have only been here 3 months and the group has a deadly / brutal culture and terrible people who have screwed.people over before.  can't handle the group anymore but also scared to quit (currently have an offer at a LMM sponsor for immediate start) Any tips on how to go about this?

A bit confused about what the issue is. If you have an offer for an immediate start, why can't you quit? Are you concerned about having that conversation/ upsetting your coworkers? Or are you too burnt out to start a new job right away? If it's the former, don't worry about it, people quit all the time (especially recently). If it's the latter, I know people who are quitting without a job lined up (though I personally wouldn't do it) to take a long break before starting another gig. Hiring market's hot enough now that there's a high probability you'd get away with it. My 2 cents. YMMV.

For exact words, just say you found another opportunity that is a better fit. Putting in your 2 weeks notice. That's all you need to do. No need to explain any more or even mention the new place you are going to.

Oh got it, so when they ask where just ghost them? Tell them I am not comfortable disclosing?

Yeah it’s none of their business. Just say you’re going to a startup. Since you’re going LMM there’s probably a 5% chance your BB even knows about those guys.

I would just say you found a role outside finance and you’re putting in your notice. If they ask where you’re going just say you would prefer not to say. They can’t do shit to you.
