Help on GMAT Prep Courses and I-Banking Odds of Getting in B-School!
I'm applying to Business School -- mostly Ivy; and I'm just starting to look at studying for the GMAT. Need 700+ but am only at 600+ on practive tests. Also, does anyone know how to get a sense of how good an applicant you are coming from a MM firm, 3.8 GPA from top non-Ivy and assuming I get 700+ on GMAT and have decent essays? Are there consultants out there?
MM Bank or PE? Your GPA is great...if your practice tests are 600 to start, you will get to the 700s with preparation...Manhattan GMAT or Kaplan (the online is good) is good too...
If you're coming from a MM bank, you will need to have been promoted to third year at the very least and have some volunteer/community leadership you can talk about in the essays as well
