Help on JPM Referral Process
So I'm a sophomore at a target school who recently applied to some of JPM's summer analyst programs, one of which is targeted for sophomores specifically (AM). I submitted a few of these apps this week and last week. Now normally, when you apply to JPM, you provide your referral code is in the app itself.
Yesterday, though, I got an email notification that an employee (presumably an MD I talked to over the phone) referred me internally - but I have no idea who, since the email didn't specify. When I sent out the apps, I didn't have a referral code, so I'm in a predicament now. I can't go back and edit the applications, and I don't want to withdraw and resubmit either - but I do want them to know I've got a referral. Already contacted some people internally who are asking HR, but they didn't get back to me yet. Any advice?
if you did some research you can easily get the answer. But here it is: you dont need to do anything. The system can still recognize your application and the fact that you are referred. I got one too and i think it said it in the email. Also checked with the recruiter.
Yes, you were correct. However, got dinged before even first round interviews - I suppose the program may have been diversity-centered, so no luck over here unfortunately.
shit you didnt even get the first round with the referral? Im sorry.
Do you know what the timeline for their sophomore programs are? Talked with a VP back in August who told me to apply, but I have not heard anything.
JP Morgan referred candidate? (Originally Posted: 03/17/2018)
Hi all,
So I had networked with one of the employees at HK and just received an invitation to apply for roles. So I clicked in and basically, the message stated that I could apply for any job role and I would be continuing the hiring process as referred individual.
I was wondering if this means that I am guaranteed an interview already or am I just selected to be competing with other referred resumes for HRs to toss in garbage?
Thanks.
The later. Unless it’s a senior person on the IB side, a referred candidate is worth about as much as a bag of dicks with no handle.
Thanks! This would be a M&A MD referral. Hope things will get through.
Hi! I wonder if the referral email you got writes that "you can explore and apply for opportunities that interest you across our lines of business by visiting our career site"? Does that mean it is a general referral for any role? Any idea if there's a limit to the number of application to just one, or you could simply apply as many as per your interest through the link? Thanks in advance.
Does the seniority of the person referring me for job at JP Morgan matter? (Originally Posted: 04/05/2018)
I'm applying to a VP job at JPMC and there are three people that could refer me:
Friend who is an 1st yr associate. Current MBA classmate who is a VP. Professional contact who is an ED.
None of them work in the division I'm applying to so I'm not sure who to request the referral from. The person that knows me best or the most senior person?
Does the referral system ask the employee for anything beyond referral designation and relation? If not, I'm leaning towards the ED.
Can more than one person refer me? (I know the award is only given to one person.)
Thanks
Sounds like current MBA classmate might be a strong choice since he’s most likely to pull through with you seeing him every week.
