You can use the search function on this site and find a few posts about D&P. To sum them up, long hours and arrogant attitudes. If you ever wanted to see accountants with Ibank attitudes, then that is the place to go. Well respected though so you will have decent opps.
Jack: Not sure if you're talking about the IBD division or Valuation, but if you're talking about IBD, you couldn't be more wrong. Met many of the IBD people and they are some of the most down to earth bankers I've ever met during the recruitment process. Great work-life balance and decent compensation.
He asked about the valuation side, not investment banking. That is clearly what I was talking about since I mentioned accountants. Thanks for trolling.
Greak, thanks for the info. When you say good exit opps do you mean BB, MM, or Boutique firms?
if you are referring to IBD, it'd be rare to see exit opps for BB unless you plan on working 3-4 years, MBA, --> BB IBD
Inspired dude, thanks for the reply. Right now my options are taking the FT Duff and Phelps Valuation offer or accepting an offer for a summer analyst position at a lower BB (think BofA, Wells, UBS).
What do you all think?
SA IBD? Take that all the way...even if you don't get extended FT out of that program you'll be that much ahead of your peers when applying for other MM/BB IBD positions later on. IBD experience trumps here I would have to think...especially if IBD is your end goal out of going to D&P valuation.

Sorry I'm not thekid1! If I were to take the summer offer I would have to delay my graduation for a semester. Do you think that's worth it??
