If you go to a boarding school in New England, most alumni are pretty responsive, some more so than college alumni.
Yeah I went to top boarding school in uk and we have a strong old boys network. old boys network tend to help each other out as much as possible and so so much more than uni (well university do not have old boys network), apparently considered like brothers lol. They organize lunches etc... Any way to be honest I am thinking the email format may have been wrong? He may have just been really busy, he is an executive director at a BB and I sent it on Monday

That,s very interesting. Very much the opposite in uk. If you look at the parliament 17 of the cabinet ministers were the pm's best friend at school. The old boys network only exists at fee paying schools.
