Highest compensation you have heard of for a grad (London)

This post adds no value, but I'm just curious: what's the highest first-year compensation people have heard about someone receiving in London fresh out of undergrad in IB?

Also, I would be curious if anyone has heard of any massive packages from the quant/hedge fund sectors in London.

Pretty sure its 100 but haven't heard about what bonuses they get first year

100 is the pro rata intern comp for London. I don't know where the number comes from because if you get the full time academy offer, you don't work in London. Everyone does the Academy in NYC and gets paid in $$, if you "graduate" the academy you head back to your home office and become an actual analyst. At that point base salary is in line with most multimanager shops around 120 -150k ish and stays there until you make PM.

The first year academy associate comp is in USD

I know JS were paying summer interns 100k pro rated was the 300/350 figure from people with multiple offers or just with large discretionary bonus?

This was a while ago through a friend, but I believe back then (around 2021 time) first year quant numbers were heavily skewed by the signing bonuses. And these scale by stacking offers so I'd imagine so

This isn't new news, the pro rata for interns is 100k (Maybe even more now), which works out to about 20k over 10 weeks.  They also had a ridiculous signing bonus for interns iirc but can't remember the exact figure.

No point of drooling over this because quite frankly no one browsing the IB forum is breaking into Jane street unless they happen to have the same problem solving skills as kids top 10 in their Oxbridge maths/physics cohort with usually a few international math olympiads under their belt.

The top OMM's/Quant shops are frankly not even within the scope of most, so what would be more interesting is to find out some consolidated numbers on peak l/s equity or macro grad comp.

Ive heard some outrageously large offers being given out by the commod teams at the MMs recently to grads. Seems like the place to be if you want to get payed atm.

I dont actually work in commods just have a mate in the industry who I was talking too. From my understanding of the industry its a fundamental job but you need a pretty good grasp of maths + coding. Like you dont need to be representing the UK in maths and physics Olympiads but would need to be able to get through a maths based degree, think he described it as mathematically minded but not gifted.

Supposedly some offers around £300k - 400k but this also could be Chinese whispers. Apparently one kid had offers from like every top team in the industry.... which means either the available talent pool is non existent or this kid is insane.
