HL FVA Transaction/Fund Opinions vs Mesirow IB

I have been fortunate enough to receive offers from both, but I am just curious if anyone can provide some insight on which option would be better, considering my end goal of working in PE MM/UMM. I am aware that HL TO/FO places individuals fairly well into good IB shops, which in turn has good placement into PE MM/UMM. However, I'm not too sure about Mesirow. Any insights would be greatly appreciated!
