Houlihan LA Culture & Reputation?

Seen some posts on HLs NY and Dallas offices, opinions seems to be very mixed. But does anyone have anything on the LA office at the junior level? Thanks.

Appreciate it, do they have a big facetime culture or is that more group dependent?

100% have a facetime culture, though they are flexible (they don't *force* you but it'll hurt you not to kiss ass)

Just to give some background, an analyst there was fired on the spot without warning on his bonus day. I don't know what the backstory of that is, but it's pretty messed up to let someone work until their bonus date and then tell them to fuck off without warning on that day

Do you have any specific questions?

CF- search function will show results still mostly up to date. Generally a higher volume m&a shop so you will get exposure. Culture varies by group, and everyone works pretty hard. Some exits into MM PE in LA or other m&a related roles.

Restructuring- works very hard and good deal flow, but generally tough culture like everywhere else in restructuring. Many analysts did not finish two years in recent history. Exits vary. Some go into top distressed funds, startups, mm private equity funds, or leave finance.
