How bad did I mess up
I'm currently a 2nd year analyst in pub fin, I make occasional mistakes at work like everyone.
Recently I was sending out an information request for a client (think rating agency rating fee quote). I noticed a typo as I hit send, no biggie I have my outlook set on a 30 sec delay. I click control Z trying to cancel send, this undo's my last change which was unhighlighting my email body. This didn't unsend the email, so the email sent with the body highlighted. I freaked out and instantly told the VP; he could care a less. I'm worried that he was trying to be nice and I actually damaged trust. How fucked am I?

One time, our summer analyst sent an email to our MD. The entire email body was highlighted gray for some reason.
The MD was on the phone with a client. He put the client on hold, and stormed out of the office. He yelled for the intern to come over. He whispered something in the interns ear. The intern collapsed to the floor and had a seizure. Later that day, the intern lost his life. But more importantly, he lost his return offer.
Some mistakes aren’t forgivable.
