One secondhand data point from a PE FIG (banks) perspective. Deals arnt happening right now due to uncertainly with loan portfolios. Deals will come back in Q3/Q4 after forbearance runs out and COVID impact is realized.

I work at a relatively large fund and received tons of covid opportunities crap recently. Always get invited for catch up calls.
The analysts must be working so hard to reformat and rephrase the research reports to ibd pitchbooks and send us loads of share price charts, valuation analysis and benchmarking.
Tells you fig is the most data intensive brutal team with loads of desperate MDs work their analysts hard to impress clients.
P.s. i am also working on similar stuff, loads of covid sensitivity, etc. Avoid if you have not started there
so if I want a technical coverage group, would FIG be a good group?
