How Can I Help?

Hi there,

My name is <redacted> ;)

This is my first post on the WSO forums.

I'm an incoming 2nd year Accounting/Finance student in the UK (Russell Group, Non Target '25)

International Student in UK | South Asian descent | Middle East born and raised

This will be a quick post, I just wanted to know what I can do to provide value here?

I'm sure I'll be asking a ton of questions and learning from professionals in the industry, but how can I give back to the community?

I'm a firm believer in leaving a place better than I found it, and not leeching off of people and leaving once I get what I came for

So, how can i help you?

This is my profile so far after my first year at university

1. Captain of the Badminton Team and Course Representative

2. First 1:1 Grade (UK Uni Grading System)

3. Landed one consulting internship (not bulge bracket consulting fyi)

4. Recently took part in the AIBC M&A Case Competition, where I created a pitchbook and a DCF

5. I've taken courses on Excel, Valuation, Word/PPT/Outlook. I'm good on the theory, but still working on becoming better through practicing.

6. I'm confident in public speaking and writing

7. Generally quite organized and productive

I'm self aware enough to know that my proficiency in these fields is low compared to a lot of people here, but I'd still like to know where I can put this knowledge to use

I'm not trying to be that over-eager annoying 'summer intern', but if anyone has suggestions, please let me know I'd appreciate it

Looking forward to being a member of WSO, and talking to likeminded people

Thanks!
